This artwork by Peter Davies achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2017. In the Handpicked: 100 Works Selected by the Saatchi Gallery auction, the work The Hot One Hundred sold for GBP 15,625.00 (€ 18,310.96) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Davies - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Text Painting (Pay Attention), which sold at auction in June 2001 for GBP 25,850.00 (€ 42,941.99).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Peter Davies erzielte im März 2017 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Handpicked: 100 Works Selected by the Saatchi Gallery wurde die Arbeit The Hot One Hundred für GBP 15.625,00 (€ 18.310,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Davies mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Text Painting (Pay Attention) beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für GBP 25.850,00 (€ 42.941,99) versteigert wurde.
