Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The meeting by Peter Dahl was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 50,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 46,000.00 (€ 4,389.53). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Dahl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "The Green Room" (Gröna Rummet) in November 2019 with an auction result of SEK 1,000,000.00 (€ 94,745.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The meeting von Peter Dahl im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 50.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 46.000,00 (€ 4.389,53) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Dahl erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "The Green Room" (Gröna Rummet) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 1.000.000,00 (€ 94.745,44).
