Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Peter Buchanan could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Victorian Pictures auction, the work A Shepherd And His Flock On A Moorland Path changed hands for GBP 264.00 (€ 378.26) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Buchanan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The shepherd's cottage in March 2003 with an auction result of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,531.92).
