This artwork by Peter Brook achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2012. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Old Man Thinking sold for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,495.56) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Brook - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calling For A Brew (With More Snow Coming), which sold at auction in December 2013 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,035.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peter Brook erzielte im März 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Old Man Thinking für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.495,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Brook mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calling For A Brew (With More Snow Coming) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2013 für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.035,56) versteigert wurde.
