This artwork by Peter Booth achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Melbourne in May 2005. In the PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION auction, the work Drawing sold for AUD 8,962.50 (€ 5,509.30) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Booth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Untitled, 2002 in November 2008 with an auction result of AUD 168,000.00 (€ 86,633.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peter Booth erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION wurde die Arbeit Drawing für AUD 8.962,50 (€ 5.509,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Booth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Untitled, 2002 im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 168.000,00 (€ 86.633,69).
