Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Boran Woman, Marsabit Hospital, Kenya by Peter Beard. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,795.00 (€ 12,509.06), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Beard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orphaned Cheetah Cubs, Mweiga, near Nyeri, Kenya, March 1968 in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 672,500.00 (€ 577,352.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boran Woman, Marsabit Hospital, Kenya von Peter Beard zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.795,00 (€ 12.509,06) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Beard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orphaned Cheetah Cubs, Mweiga, near Nyeri, Kenya, March 1968 im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 672.500,00 (€ 577.352,34).
