In March 2010 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Milk Bar, 2008 by Peter Anton. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,913.00 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Anton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Keith Haring's World, which sold at auction in January 2011 for USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,827.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im März 2010 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Milk Bar, 2008 von Peter Anton zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.913,00 und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Anton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Keith Haring's World beobachtet, die im Januar 2011 für USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.827,93) versteigert wurde.
