Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Pop x Culture, which included the work Chuck D of Public Enemy, London, 1987 by Peter Anderson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,132.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Anderson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Madonna, Soho London, 1983, which sold at auction in October 2020 for GBP 3,562.50 (€ 3,955.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Pop x Culture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chuck D of Public Enemy, London, 1987 von Peter Anderson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.132,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Anderson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Madonna, Soho London, 1983 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für GBP 3.562,50 (€ 3.955,85) versteigert wurde.
