Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View Of Ennek, Cairo by Pericles Tsirigotis was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,743.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pericles Tsirigotis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek The Shoemakers, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 14,002.59).
