In April 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Still Life With Oranges And Quince by Périclès Pantazis. The result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,748.59) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Périclès Pantazis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Pears, Apples And Quinces in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 66,000.00 (€ 97,123.47).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Still Life With Oranges And Quince von Périclès Pantazis zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.748,59) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Périclès Pantazis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life With Pears, Apples And Quinces im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 66.000,00 (€ 97.123,47).
