Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek Still Life With Apples by Périclès Pantazis was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,226.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Périclès Pantazis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Pears, Apples And Quinces, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 66,000.00 (€ 97,123.47).

Die Arbeit Greek Still Life With Apples von Périclès Pantazis wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 30.226,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Périclès Pantazis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life With Pears, Apples And Quinces beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 66.000,00 (€ 97.123,47) versteigert wurde.
