This artwork by Percy Tarrant achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2004. In the British and Continental Watercolours including Original auction, the work 'They flitted by in their new robes' sold for GBP 776.75 (€ 1,173.84) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 400.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Percy Tarrant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Village Humourist, which sold at auction in May 2006 for GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,554.18).

Für andere Arbeiten von Percy Tarrant mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Village Humourist beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.554,18) versteigert wurde.
