Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Oaks Among the Rocks by Percy Gray was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,542.76). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Percy Gray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eucalyptus Grove, Morning in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 74,090.00 (€ 75,172.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Oaks Among the Rocks von Percy Gray wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.840,00 (€ 3.542,76) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Percy Gray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eucalyptus Grove, Morning im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.090,00 (€ 75.172,48).
