Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Oak Tree, Poppy and Lupine by Percy Gray was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of USD 12,112.50 (€ 10,971.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Percy Gray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eucalyptus Grove, Morning in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 74,090.00 (€ 75,172.48).

Die Arbeit Oak Tree, Poppy and Lupine von Percy Gray wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.112,50 (€ 10.971,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Percy Gray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eucalyptus Grove, Morning im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.090,00 (€ 75.172,48).
