Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction California Art, which included the work Marin Marshes by Percy Gray. The price achieved of USD 8,287.50 (€ 7,506.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Percy Gray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eucalyptus Grove, Morning in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 74,090.00 (€ 75,172.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Marin Marshes von Percy Gray zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.287,50 (€ 7.506,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Percy Gray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eucalyptus Grove, Morning im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.090,00 (€ 75.172,48).
