Auction result misses estimated price range
In August this year a collector was able to acquire the work Landscape with Oak Tree by Percy Gray for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,771.38). This price was achieved in the auction California Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Percy Gray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eucalyptus Grove, Morning in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 74,090.00 (€ 75,172.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Landscape with Oak Tree von Percy Gray für USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.771,38) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Percy Gray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eucalyptus Grove, Morning im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.090,00 (€ 75.172,48).
