Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Eucalyptus Scene by Percy Gray was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 25,600.00 (€ 23,618.41). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Percy Gray - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eucalyptus Grove, Morning, which sold at auction in June 2002 for USD 74,090.00 (€ 75,172.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Eucalyptus Scene von Percy Gray wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 25.600,00 (€ 23.618,41) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Percy Gray mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eucalyptus Grove, Morning beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für USD 74.090,00 (€ 75.172,48) versteigert wurde.
