This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Per Krohg; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sitting woman sold at auction in May 2011 with the realized price of SEK 78,000.00 (€ 8,778.80).
