Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait of a girl, bust-length, in profile by Penelope Beaton was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2001. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 211.50 (€ 341.81). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Penelope Beaton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Green Table in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,740.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a girl, bust-length, in profile von Penelope Beaton kam im Oktober 2001 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 211,50 (€ 341,81) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Penelope Beaton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Green Table im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.740,88).
