A top price for Pedro Núñez de Villavicencio - as previously expected
In December 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Argolla Players by Pedro Núñez de Villavicencio. The price achieved of GBP 266,500.00 (€ 320,558.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Argolla Players is the most expensive artwork by Pedro Núñez de Villavicencio that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Dezember 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Argolla Players von Pedro Núñez de Villavicencio zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 266.500,00 (€ 320.558,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Argolla Players das teuerste Kunstwerk von Pedro Núñez de Villavicencio, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
