In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art Online, which included this untitled work by Pedro Friedeberg. The result of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,713.80) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pedro Friedeberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vision y presagio del profeta Habakkuk in May last year with an auction result of USD 69,300.00 (€ 64,579.26).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Pedro Friedeberg zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.713,80) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pedro Friedeberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vision y presagio del profeta Habakkuk im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 64.579,26).
