Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Picnic by Pavel Petrovich Sokolov-Skalya was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in December 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,112.98) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pavel Petrovich Sokolov-Skalya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study For Narod in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 96,500.00 (€ 135,124.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Picnic von Pavel Petrovich Sokolov-Skalya wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.112,98) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pavel Petrovich Sokolov-Skalya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study For Narod im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.500,00 (€ 135.124,97).
