Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work A Hunting Party in the Caucasus by Paul von Franken. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 30,240.00 (€ 33,780.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Paul von Franken have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2007 the work Blick auf das Schwarze Meer. was auctioned for CHF 84,000.00 (€ 51,791.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Hunting Party in the Caucasus von Paul von Franken zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 30.240,00 (€ 33.780,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Paul von Franken konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2007 die Arbeit Blick auf das Schwarze Meer. für CHF 84.000,00 (€ 51.791,83) versteigert.
