Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work ANTIQUE PASTORALE by Paul-Jean Flandrin was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in December 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 5,670.00. Other works by Paul-Jean Flandrin have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2015 by the work Paysage Classique Avec Personnages Près D'Un Lac at EUR 8,125.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit ANTIQUE PASTORALE von Paul-Jean Flandrin im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 5.670,00 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Paul-Jean Flandrin wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni 2015 die Arbeit Paysage Classique Avec Personnages Près D'Un Lac mit EUR 8.125,00.
