Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A still life with fruit, colourful flowers and a jar by Paul Guiramand was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 750.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Guiramand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mediterranee, 1981 in July 2012 with an auction result of EUR 18,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A still life with fruit, colourful flowers and a jar von Paul Guiramand im Dezember 2012 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 750,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Guiramand erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mediterranee, 1981 im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.600,00.
