In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE COLLECTION OF JAMES DANZIGER, which included the work Janis Joplin At The Fillmore, San Francisco, 1968 by Paul Fusco. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,543.15), 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paul Fusco; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot RFK Funeral Train sold at auction in April 2021 with the realized price of USD 5,670.00 (€ 4,713.22).

Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE COLLECTION OF JAMES DANZIGER durch, in der auch die Arbeit Janis Joplin At The Fillmore, San Francisco, 1968 von Paul Fusco zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.543,15) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paul Fusco; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit RFK Funeral Train im April 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 5.670,00 (€ 4.713,22).
