The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,827.79) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Friedrich Meyerheim achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work German Sideshow Tricks in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 229,000.00 (€ 147,096.61).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit The Kiss of the Hand von Paul Friedrich Meyerheim wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art and Orientalist Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.827,79) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Friedrich Meyerheim erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit German Sideshow Tricks im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 229.000,00 (€ 147.096,61).
