Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction The European Art Sale, which included the work Compositional Study of a Charging Algerian Horseman by Paul Delamain. The price achieved of USD 378.00 (€ 327.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Delamain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Cheik Et Son Escorte in May 2016 with an auction result of EUR 11,050.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The European Art Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Compositional Study of a Charging Algerian Horseman von Paul Delamain zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 378,00 (€ 327,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Delamain erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Cheik Et Son Escorte im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.050,00.
