Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul de Vos could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings auction, the work Two Dogs With A Joint Of Meat, A Basket With Game And Vegetables Behind Them changed hands for USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,924.59) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul de Vos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le concert d'oiseaux in September 2020 with an auction result of EUR 310,000.00.
