In January 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art, which included the work A Stag Hunt by Paul de Vos. The »bidding war« ended at USD 78,000.00 (€ 60,009.23), 30% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul de Vos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le concert d'oiseaux in September 2020 with an auction result of EUR 310,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Stag Hunt von Paul de Vos zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 78.000,00 (€ 60.009,23) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul de Vos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le concert d'oiseaux im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 310.000,00.
