Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Young Beauty by Paul de la Boulaye was sold in the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in March 2007. The price achieved of EUR 3,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul de la Boulaye - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work St. Joan Of Arc, which sold at auction in January 2008 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 12,633.92).
