Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Belle Époque Splendor: The Discerning Eye of a Collector, which included the work Camara by Paul César Helleu. Here, the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 151,200.00 (€ 140,900.20). Admittedly, works by Paul César Helleu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait De Madame Helleu À L'Ombrelle in June 2014 with an auction result of EUR 793,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Belle Époque Splendor: The Discerning Eye of a Collector durch, in der auch die Arbeit Camara von Paul César Helleu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 151.200,00 (€ 140.900,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul César Helleu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait De Madame Helleu À L'Ombrelle im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 793.500,00.
