Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Running Antelope (Segrame Calendar Study) by Paul Bransom was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 467.85). Other works by Paul Bransom have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2003 by the work "Peaboam", Indian God Of Winter at USD 956.00 (€ 758.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Running Antelope (Segrame Calendar Study) von Paul Bransom im Februar 2012 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 625,00 (€ 467,85) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Paul Bransom wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Dezember 2003 die Arbeit "Peaboam", Indian God Of Winter mit USD 956,00 (€ 758,91).
