A top price for Patrick Webb - as previously expected
In June last year Bonhams in New York held the auction The Male Form, which included the work Punchinello Works Out: Now and Then by Patrick Webb. The price achieved of USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,826.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Punchinello Works Out: Now and Then is the most expensive artwork by Patrick Webb that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Male Form durch, in der auch die Arbeit Punchinello Works Out: Now and Then von Patrick Webb zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.826,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Punchinello Works Out: Now and Then das teuerste Kunstwerk von Patrick Webb, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
