Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online, which included the work Revenants III by Patrick Bongoy. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,977.05). Admittedly, works by Patrick Bongoy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Revenants III in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,096.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Revenants III von Patrick Bongoy zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.977,05) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick Bongoy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Revenants III im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.096,14).
