Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Patricia Preece could be acquired at Bonhams in London in December 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Girl Reading changed hands for GBP 510.00 (€ 569.72) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Patricia Preece - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Self-portrait, which sold at auction in July 2004 for GBP 1,195.00 (€ 1,805.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Patricia Preece konnte im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Girl Reading für GBP 510,00 (€ 569,72) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Patricia Preece mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Self-portrait beobachtet, die im Juli 2004 für GBP 1.195,00 (€ 1.805,91) versteigert wurde.
