Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2002 Christies in London held the auction Important Old Master Pictures, which included the work Christ on the Cross with Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Jerome by Pasquale Ottino. The price achieved of GBP 26,290.00 (€ 41,933.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pasquale Ottino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Deposition, which sold at auction in July 2003 for GBP 94,850.00 (€ 123,975.35).

Im Juli 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Christ on the Cross with Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Jerome von Pasquale Ottino zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 26.290,00 (€ 41.933,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pasquale Ottino mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Deposition beobachtet, die im Juli 2003 für GBP 94.850,00 (€ 123.975,35) versteigert wurde.
