This artwork by Pascal Adolphe Jean Dagnan-Bouveret achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2012. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Frensur Les Cimes (On The Summit) sold for USD 188,500.00 (€ 152,458.75) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pascal Adolphe Jean Dagnan-Bouveret - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French The Duet, which sold at auction in February 2019 for USD 350,000.00 (€ 307,584.15).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Pascal Adolphe Jean Dagnan-Bouveret erzielte im Mai 2012 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wurde die Arbeit Frensur Les Cimes (On The Summit) für USD 188.500,00 (€ 152.458,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pascal Adolphe Jean Dagnan-Bouveret mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French The Duet beobachtet, die im Februar 2019 für USD 350.000,00 (€ 307.584,15) versteigert wurde.
