Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work French The Petit Savoyard Eating In Front Of An Entrance To A House by Pascal Adolphe Jean Dagnan-Bouveret for USD 134,500.00 (€ 106,055.83). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pascal Adolphe Jean Dagnan-Bouveret - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French The Duet, which sold at auction in February 2019 for USD 350,000.00 (€ 307,584.15).
