In January 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Collection of A. Alfred Taubman: Old Masters, which included the work Diana Seated On A Ledge, Seen From Below by Paolo Gerolamo Piola. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,231.91) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paolo Gerolamo Piola have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Maddalena acquista unguenti per Cristo in December 2002 with an auction result of EUR 86,800.00.

Im Januar 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Collection of A. Alfred Taubman: Old Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Diana Seated On A Ledge, Seen From Below von Paolo Gerolamo Piola zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.231,91) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paolo Gerolamo Piola auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Maddalena acquista unguenti per Cristo im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 86.800,00.
