Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A view of a fortress by Paolo Anesi was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2004. The price achieved of GBP 11,950.00 (€ 16,912.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paolo Anesi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Anzio, A View Of The Port With The Villa Corsini And The Villa Albani in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 196,177.99).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.950,00 (€ 16.912,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paolo Anesi erzielen.
