Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Discoveries | Encounters, which included the work Pang Jiun | Terraced Fields by Pang Jiun. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,000,000.00 – 2,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,197,000.00 (€ 149,361.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pang Jiun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Monet’S Garden in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 7,375,000.00 (€ 808,030.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Discoveries | Encounters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pang Jiun | Terraced Fields von Pang Jiun zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.000.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.197.000,00 (€ 149.361,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pang Jiun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Monet’S Garden im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.375.000,00 (€ 808.030,41).
