Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Serving the refreshments by Pancraz Koerle for GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,532.81). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art including Orientalist Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pancraz Koerle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Schlafzimmer Ludwig II. in der Münchner Residenz., which sold at auction in March 2007 for CHF 9,600.00 (€ 5,919.07).
