Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Time for a rest by Pál Böhm was sold in the 19th Century European Pictures auction at Christies in London in September 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,232.50 (€ 2,248.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pál Böhm have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stilleben mit Zitronen. in October 2018 with an auction result of EUR 9,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Time for a rest von Pál Böhm wurde im September 2003 in der Auktion 19th Century European Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.232,50 (€ 2.248,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pál Böhm auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stilleben mit Zitronen. im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.500,00.
