Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek A Sunlit Courtyard by Oumbertos Argyros was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,289.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Oumbertos Argyros have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work School Of Fine Art, Mykonos in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 19,200.00 (€ 28,254.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Greek A Sunlit Courtyard von Oumbertos Argyros kam im November 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.289,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oumbertos Argyros auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit School Of Fine Art, Mykonos im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 19.200,00 (€ 28.254,10).
