Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cows In A Mountainous Landscape by Otto Sommer was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2020. The price achieved of USD 2,375.00 (€ 2,167.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Otto Sommer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Attacked By A Bear in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 59,084.89).
