Auction result well in line with expectations
The work At Prayer by Otto Pilny was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,908.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Otto Pilny have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Swissevening Prayers in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 326,500.00 (€ 246,210.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit At Prayer von Otto Pilny kam im November 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 27.908,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Otto Pilny auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Swissevening Prayers im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 326.500,00 (€ 246.210,69).
