Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Streichholzhändler (K. 11II) by Otto Dix was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 37,800.00 (€ 44,405.26). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Otto Dix achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sitzender Akt Mit Blondem Haar (Seated Nude With Blond Hair) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,513,250.00 (€ 4,350,239.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Streichholzhändler (K. 11II) von Otto Dix kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 37.800,00 (€ 44.405,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Otto Dix erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sitzender Akt Mit Blondem Haar (Seated Nude With Blond Hair) im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.513.250,00 (€ 4.350.239,94).
