In June 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work German the Finish by Otto Dill. The result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,832.88) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Otto Dill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Villa Borghese, which sold at auction in December 2001 for EUR 25,870.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit German the Finish von Otto Dill zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.832,88) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Otto Dill mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Villa Borghese beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für EUR 25.870,00 versteigert wurde.
