The work Danish nature'S Rewards by Otto Ottesen was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2011. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,510.96) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Otto Ottesen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blumenstrauss mit Widmung an die Balletttänzerin Lucile Grahn (1819–1907). 1844., which sold at auction in March 2017 for CHF 46,100.00 (€ 43,100.79).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Danish nature'S Rewards von Otto Ottesen kam im November 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.510,96) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Otto Ottesen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blumenstrauss mit Widmung an die Balletttänzerin Lucile Grahn (1819–1907). 1844. beobachtet, die im März 2017 für CHF 46.100,00 (€ 43.100,79) versteigert wurde.
